Areas of Application
The CloudMED systems modular design allows for real-time access to the central database by various levels of users within the national health delivery system. Following patient confidentiality requirements. It allows for a constant real-time updating of the single national database by all users, irrespective of the module they are using:
Consultation
The consultation module allows health professionals (doctors, nurses and paramedics in an ambulance) to view the patients medical history and to add consultation notes to the history.
Radiography
The system incorporates radiographer / radiologist module specifically designed for breast cancer checking. This can easily be expanded into other forms of radiography.
Data collection
Data collection is achieved by means of a simple real-time electronic data collection module. This module allows the health care worker to collect basic clinical data using electronic data capturing forms which can be custom designed and tailored to meet any requirements.
Test requests
The test request module allows for an easy selection of tests which are then directed to a specific laboratory.
Laboratory results
The laboratory results module allows the laboratory technician to easily enter the results of the tests and for these results to be available immediately in real time. The system also compares the results with normal results and notifies the attending medical professional of any out of the normal results.
Drug prescription
This module allows the medical professional to generate a prescription from a predetermined set of prescribed medicines specific for the condition or to make the prescription by selecting drugs from a pre-populated list. Provided the medical professional has the necessary authorisation, drugs can be prescribed which are not on the list, which are added to the list and are available for others to select from.
Dispensing
A real-time, simplified dispensing module allows pharmacists to dispense all or part of the prescription. If part of the prescription is dispensed, the system keeps track of what is still to be dispensed.More..
